2026 Good Apple Awards Reception
The Massachusetts Appleseed Center for Law and Justice looks forward to gathering a vibrant community of changemakers at the 2026 Good Apple Awards Reception, taking place on Thursday, October 29, 2026, in Boston. This signature event will bring together supporters, partners, legal leaders, and advocates committed to advancing justice, equity, and systemic change across the Commonwealth.
This year, Massachusetts Appleseed is proud to honor three extraordinary changemakers whose professional leadership and civic commitment reflect the organization’s mission to expand equity and opportunity for all.
Laura Peabody, Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at Mass General Brigham, will receive the 2026 Good Apple Award in recognition of her outstanding legal leadership and longstanding commitment to public service. Throughout her distinguished career in health care and law, Laura has championed equity and access while also dedicating her time to organizations advancing social justice, education, and community wellbeing.
The 2026 Pro Bono Award will be presented to Baker McKenzie in recognition of its enduring partnership with Massachusetts Appleseed and deep commitment to expanding access to justice for young people across Massachusetts. As a foundational partner in the development and continued evolution of the Massachusetts Homeless Youth Handbook, Baker McKenzie has played a critical role in ensuring young people have access to practical, accessible legal information on issues ranging from housing and healthcare to education, immigration, and civil rights.
The 2026 Community Leadership Award will honor Lisa Goldblatt Grace, Co-Founder and former Co-Executive Director of My Life My Choice, for her decades of advocacy on behalf of young people impacted by exploitation, trafficking, poverty, and systemic inequity. A nationally recognized leader in anti-trafficking work, Lisa’s career has centered the dignity, safety, and empowerment of vulnerable youth across Massachusetts and beyond.
Massachusetts Appleseed is deeply grateful to the supporters, sponsors, and community partners whose generosity and collaboration make this work possible.
Be on the lookout for more details about sponsorship opportunities, ticket sales, and event programming in the coming weeks!

“As someone who personally experienced long-term housing insecurity – and even a short bout with being unhoused while I was a first-generation college student – signing up to volunteer with MA Appleseed truly felt cathartic. Volunteering allows me to give back, to help young people who are struggling with some of the same issues that I experienced decades ago.”
