Massachusetts Appleseed hosts the annual Good Apple Award Reception at the Boston Harbor Hotel, and several other events throughout the year.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on Thursday, February 11, 2021 for a virtual film screening of PUSHOUT: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools. We’re so grateful to everyone who participated in the panel discussion and Q&A following the screening.
Special thanks to our amazing panelists, Monique W. Morris, Ed.D., Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA-07), and Elizabeth McIntyre from Greater Boston Legal Services’ School-to-Prison Pipeline Intervention Project.

The Good Apple Award is presented annually to a person in the business or legal community who personifies Massachusetts Appleseed’s commitment to public service, fairness, and social justice. It is with deep regret that we announce that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Good Apple Award Reception has been cancelled. We plan to honor Enrique Colbert, General Counsel of Wayfair and recipient of the 2020 Good Apple Award in 2021, along with our 2021 award recipient, and we hope all are able to join us in celebrating him then. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Madeline, our Development and Communications Associate, at madeline@massappleseed.org.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on Thursday, September 19, 2019 for a night of fun, including trivia, food, drinks, and prizes! Congratulations to the winners, and a special thank you to all of our sponsors.
